Paul Gower

If you ever read Streetfighters magazine (UK) then you'll already know who Paul Gower is. If you haven't, then Paul's been riding for pretty much all his life, and he is very old, so a lonng time! For seven years Paul was the man responsible for training the army's famous Flying Gunners motorcycle stunt team who've performed shows all over the world, from the smallest fetes to shows for the Royal family. He's raced in the infamous and incredibly dangerous PARIS-DAKAR RALLY, been featured on numerous television and televised live shows and competed in the ACU's Supersport 400 road race series. He placed 17th in the WORLD STUNT RIDING CHAMPIONSHIPS at Donington park, and entered the WORLD FLYING KILOMETRE SPEED WHEELIE RECORD, where on a seven year old, very tired,streetfightered R1 managed to put the wheel down at a staggering GENUINE 152 miles per hour. Fast enough to break the existing record, but still 4mph down on the winner's GSXR1000. It is an invite only competition and he has an invite! Hopefully next year we will be flying back to the UK to enter again, this time on equal terms riding a N/A KAWASAKI backed ZX10.

 He also headed up a team to train his blind friend Andrew 'Billy the Whizz' Baxter, a life long friend since serving in the British army together, for the blind solo land speed record. After a long training period, Billy achieved a staggering average speed of 164.8mph, obliterating the standing record by almost 100mph! That was a Guinness world record that stood for fifteen years! 

 For six years Paul had also been one of the main stunt riders for the motorcycle magazine, Streetfighters. If you're going to be taught how to stunt by someone, then Paul is the man for the job.

 Since moving to the U.S.A. with his American wife, he has embraced the American way, but has had to focus on other avenues. Finally he has reached a point where he can go back into the motorcycle world full time! And The Wheelie School Florida is finally here!
